Shannon is a lifelong resident of the Niagara region, attending St. Alexander School in Fonthill, Ontario, and Notre Dame College School in Welland, Ontario.
Shannon obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) with a major in Psychology from Queen’s University in 2010. She subsequently obtained a Bachelor of Education from Western University, with a focus on elementary education.
Shannon’s volunteer experiences with the Distress Centre of Niagara and Pathstone Mental Health enhanced her interest in Family and Children’s Law. While attending law school at Western University, Shannon volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada and Niagara North Community Legal Assistance.
Shannon graduated with a Juris Doctor from Western University in 2015 and completed her articles with Chown Cairns Lawyers LLP.
Shannon was called to the bar in June of 2016 and returns to Chown Cairns as an Associate in the Litigation Practice Group. Her practice focus is Family Law, including issues pertaining to parenting and custody of children, spousal support, child support, property division, and child protection matters.
